In this gift guide you’ll find some of our favorite gifts for babies under 12 months old. I’ve included both toys and practical gifts too. Many of these items are things we loved with our son or put on our baby daughter’s wish list this year.

Gifts for Babies 0-12 Months
Skip Hop Follow-Me Bee Crawl Toy
One toy that came highly recommended to me from other moms with babies is the Skip Hop Follow-Me Bee Crawl Toy. This is such a fun toy for babies who are learning to crawl.
GUND Flora The Bunny
My son loved his Flappy the Elephant, but ours is a bit past its prime. So I was thrilled to see that GUND makes other singing animals too. I thought Flora the Bunny was just adorable – and I will be adding to cart this Christmas.
Wooden Rainbow Abacus by bopoobo
Bead maze and abacus toys are great for little hands to learn fine motor skills. But also, this will look really cute in the nursery until she’s ready to play with it.
The Peanutshell Tummy Time Water Play Mat
Tummy Time water play toys are also a popular gift for babies. I really like this Tummy Time Water Play Mat from The Peanutshell because it’s cute and fun, and a bit different from the typical under-the-sea theme you see for these toys.
Bella Tunno Wonder Bib
Since Savannah will be starting solid foods soon, I put a Bella Tunno Wonder Bib on her wish list this year. We got several years worth of use out of the bib we had for Ben, and I’d like one for baby girl too. Plus they are the cutest phrases on the bibs!
Itzy Ritzy Silicone Teething Mitt
At 4 months old, Savannah loves shoving her hands in her mouth. And with teething coming soon, I’ve added a few teething toys to her wish list, including the Itzy Ritzy Silicone Teething Mitt.
Copper Pearl Baby Bandana Drool Bibs
Speaking of teething – and drooling – I’ve also added some of my favorite Bandana bibs to baby girl’s wish list. Copper Pearl Baby Bandana Drool Bibs come in a huge variety of prints and are incredibly durable and absorbent.
Jellycat “If I were a Kitty” Touch & Feel Book
Touch and feel board books make wonderful gifts for babies of any age. But I think you’ll agree with me that this one is to purr-fect to pass up.
Big Gifts for Babies
Ingenuity Activity Gym & Play Mat
Activity gyms are a great toy for babies since they can be used for newborns and up. I like how this Ingenuity Activity Gym & Play Mat folds flat and is easily portable. Plus, it’s super cute!
Fisher-Price Deluxe Kick & Play Piano Gym
If your baby does not enjoy their activity mat & play gym, chances are they’d like this version. The Fisher-Price Deluxe Kick & Play Piano Gym is super popular – especially when babies reach the stage when they love to kick (we’re in it right now!).
Fisher-Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat
As our little girl outgrows her bouncer, I have been looking for something I can put her in when I’m folding laundry or washing dishes. I like how the Fisher-Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat has attachments for toys, but also folds flat for storage.
Skip Hop Baby Activity Center
We got a ton of use out of our activity center when our son was a baby, and I can’t wait until our daughter is big enough to use it again. This Skip Hop Baby Activity Center is one of the most popular. It is designed to grow with your child through 3 different stages, so it’s well worth the investment.
Fisher-Price Learn with Me Zebra Walker
Listen, I know this toy probably doesn’t match your aesthetic and you may also find the music it plays annoying – but your baby will love it. Even if they aren’t walking yet, they can still play with the interactive toys on the front. And it has staying power. We have this one as a hand-me-down from our nieces, and it still works, 6.
