KidFest at East Loveland Nature Preserve – October 7
KidFest will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2 to 4pm at the East Loveland Nature Preserve. Hosted by the Loveland-Symmes Community Firefighters’ Association, this event will include trick or treating, inflatables, food, and more.

Boo Fest 2023 at Chamberlin Park – October 7
Boo Fest 2023 will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 6pm to 10pm at Chamberlin Park in Deer Park. This year’s Boo Fest includes a costume parade at 7pm, treats, games, prizes, pumpkin decorating and more. Enjoy a walk through the spooky trail – open at 6:30pm for little ones, and after dark for big kids.

Spooky Summit Cinema: Hocus Pocus at Summit Park – October 13
Head to Summit Park for a spooky outdoor movie – the Spooky Summit Cinema will be showing Hocus Pocus on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 8pm.

Chippie’s Sensational Kids Club: Witches and Goblins at BCM – October 19
Chippie’s Sensational Kids Club: Witches and Goblins at the Behringer-Crawford Museum will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11am. This event is geared towards preschoolers and includes spooky stories, crafts and activities. The cost is $3 per child, plus museum admission. If interested, please call at least 3 days in advance to register.

Howl at the Hall at Westwood Town Hall – October 20
Howl at the Hall will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 6pm to 10pm on the Westwood Town Hall grounds. There will be a double feature movie showing of Casper (at 7pm) and Nightmare Before Christmas (at 8:50pm). There will also be crafts, food & drinks, and a costume contest at 6:30pm.

Halloween Walk in the Woods at Blue Ash Nature Park – October 21
Halloween Walk in the Woods will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from noon to 3pm at Blue Ash Nature Park. This free event includes trick or treating, a Halloween story, performances, and more. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory.

Fall Fest in Burnet Woods – October 21
Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 1pm to 6pm in Burnet Woods. The festivities include pumpkin carving and painting – and one free pumpkin per person. There will also be a performance of The Kooky Spooky Halloween Show by the Wump Mucket Puppets at 3pm.

Jack-O-Lantern Hike at Caldwell Nature Preserve – October 21
Jack-O-Lantern Hike – A Magic Forest Halloween Event will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 7pm to 9pm at at Caldwell Nature Preserve. This event is a moonlight walk through the woods decorated with Jack-O-Lanterns and luminaries. Prior registration is required.
This is a family-friendly event, but would be best for kids who enjoy hiking, being outside in the dark, and don’t get crabby staying up past bedtime.

We Rock The Spectrum Kid’s Gym Cincinnati will be hosting a Halloween Party on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from noon to 3pm. Additional details to be announced soon.

Queen City Zumbini will be holding a special Halloween Class at Happy Hangout on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 9:45am. Tickets can be purchased online.

Pumpkin Glow at Caesars Ford Park – October 26-28
Pumpkin Glow at Caesars Ford Park will be open from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday, October 26, Friday, October 27, and Saturday, October 28, 2023. The trails of Caesar Ford Park will be decorated with hand-painted pumpkins that glow with black light. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own black light flashlight, but there will be some available to borrow.

Lawrenceburg Halloween Sensation – October 26
The Lawrenceburg Public Library District presents Halloween Sensation on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm. This event will be held at the Lawrenceburg Firehouse. There will be games, candy, hayrides, balloon animals, and more.

Spooktacular Halloween Party at Magic Land Play Cafe – October 27-29
Magic Land Play Cafe is throwing a Spooktacular Halloween Party at 4pm on both Friday, October 27 and Sunday, October 29, 2023. There will be trick or treating, plus character visits! They are also hosting a sensory-friendly Halloween party on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 9am. Reserve your tickets online.

Halloweekend at Kid Clubhouse – October 27-28
Kid Clubhouse will be holding their annual Halloweekend event on Friday, October 27 from 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10am to 9pm. There will be games, prizes, crafts, and candy – and new surprises this year. Tickets are $15 per kid ages 1-12. Children 1 and under are free with a paid sibling.

Lollipops Halloween Spooktacular at Cincinnati Music Hall – October 28
The Lollipops Halloween Spooktacular performance will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:30am at Cincinnati Music Hall. This Halloween-themed performance by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is geared towards kids ages 2 to 9. Attendees are encouraged to dress up, and can enjoy crafts and activities before the show. Boos & Brews on the Levee at Newport on the Levee – October 28
Boos & Brews on the Levee at Newport on the Levee will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 5pm to 9pm. Activities for kids, including trick or treating, will take place at the beginning of the event (from 5-7pm), while activities geared towards adults will begin later in the evening.

Jack O’Lantern Junction at EnterTRAINment Junction
Jack O’Lantern Junction at EnterTRAINment Junction runs September 23 through October 31, 2023. Back in the Expo room (where the marbles are), you’ll find a small Halloween train display, a trick-or-treat haunted house, a talking Jack O’Lantern, and Halloween coloring pages. The haunted house is a bit dark and has flashing lights, so it may not be the best fit for small children or those with sensory sensitivities. Additionally, you’ll find two Halloween-themed outdoor train rides and spooky characters hidden throughout the train displays. Purchase tickets online or at the Junction.

Tricks and Treats Fall Fest at Kings Island
Tricks and Treats Fall Fest at Kings Island is open on Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 24 through October 29, 2023. This event runs during the day, while the scary Halloween Haunt event is open at night. During Tricks and Treats, there are fall activities and entertainment, trick-or-treating (kids are encouraged to dress up!), festive foods and drinks, and more. Select rides are open during this time.

Howl-O-Ween at Great Wolf Lodge
Howl-O-Ween at Great Wolf Lodge runs September 28 through October 31, 2023. Spooky activities included in your stay are the Monster Bash Dance Party, Trick-Or-Treat Trail, Howl-O-Ween Crafts, and more.

The Cincinnati Museum Center is hosting Weekends at the BOO!seum every Saturday and Sunday in October 2023. There will be not-so-scary fun activities throughout the museum. Dress up in your costume for $3 off museum admission during this event.

Haunted Village at Heritage Village Museum
Haunted Village at Heritage Village Museum is open Fridays and Saturdays beginning October 13 through October 28, 2023. The village and woods are decorated for a spooky good time. Activities include a creepy critter zoo, face painting, games, balloon art, and more. Everyone is encouraged to dress up. Tickets can be purchased online.
This event is a bit scary and spooky, and may be best for kids a bit older.

HallZooween at the Cincinnati Zoo
HallZooween at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden runs weekends from noon to 5pm beginning October 14 through October 29, 2023. This event is included with zoo admission. During HallZooween you’ll find trick or treat stations, special animal enrichment, Hide & Seek Fiona, and more. Plus, the train and carousel have been decorated for some spooky fun!
